I bet a lot of people are glad we never have to hear Cynn talk!

Devona's intro voice is reasonable, but the Electra complex gets creepy after a wile. Maybe she needs a boyfriend, but i'm shure no one will ever be a match for her dad.

About the voice acting, the storyline and cinematics of factions:

I like Factions, there are a lot of cool stuff and features. Even some original missions, big maps, beautifull landscapes and so on...but the STORYLINE is ...gee man...it is absurdly low. The Dialogues are UGLY. I glitched on the floor while wathing the cinematics. The voice acting brought me to day-nightmare.

Voice acting - I remember when I donwloaded a StarCraft user campaign with voices of the dialogues. It was pretty jerky...BUT compared to this the voice acting of games like spellforce go up the sky of success. I don't know, who did the whole scheme, but if you MADE me do it for FREE I WOULD DO IT BETTER. I've done a lot more good voice acting myself (and some audio apps) just for a Icewind Dale 2 custom hero, for a Lan party. It took a while, but it was totaly worth it keeping in mind I was doing it for the first time.

Cinematics - Amm...er...ok...I mean....Profecies got simple cinematics, BUT Faction got so newbie ones, I died in frustation. Even I - the editor noob, did a lot better cinematics on the warcraft iii editor (RoC) and I am sure GW supports at least 60% of the flexibility of that. BUT ....Cameras, action, scripting, triggers.....OMG (I am actually Ateist, but used to help myself with this 'covert' call). Seeing you and Togo wanding a zombie...like 4 times, or VISU doing something beyond the camera, trembling with glitchy stance with clipping problems with ackward position, or enemies moving one threw another, characters going out of the camera, silly movements on the scene...wow....Some of the scenes were good, but other made my brain run and clash in skull with havoc.

Dialogues - Ok. Here is an example of the whole feeling : "I AM EVIL AND WILL KILL YOU! OH NO, HE WILL KILL US! WE HAVE TO KILL HIM BEFORE HE KILLS US. BUT HE CAN KILL US. HE IS EVIL."...like that. I mean it is like EVERY not sentence but a bunch of words were typed by different person and they merged them in a final chaos of insanity. I am hurting to type that, but I felt the Venesuelian soaps were somekind of verbal geniousity compared to this. I was happy for every 1 of 10 speeches which was reasonable to the whole situation. Most of them were not on place, non right and ... a pretty simple sighted for a grown persons.

Storyline - Well, get 3 random people of the street and they will probably make a lot better story. The whole plot is so leaking that it even was not funny. I was just ignoring the nonsense and enjoying the missions and quests. Shiro was some kind of stupid bully who was been deeply condused like a growing child by some old hag and doing stuff that he doesn't know why. It was like he didn't know what is bad and what is good. Like a fool living in a cage for 20 years with no contacts, and he was a pretty powerfull guy which also makes non sense. You cannot be super-hardcore sword master with a mind of child. Also some of the scenes were very strange. Like the 2 meter pile of rubbles which 'OH NOES WE CANNOT PASS' thing. Also why Shiro was so evil that after his death the whole continent got corrupted, why Visu - the so called powerfull slayer of Shiro was even more stupid than him...The whole Cantha is like some Stupid-o-world which people are so short sighted they scream in fear, fight eachother, give control on their primal instincs and so on. Reminds me of my old teen base school. Thus the hero must come and shoot wisdom over the poor men. Situation where Kurzick and Luxon ally was hillarious. They got like 4 turtles, but they fight hand to hand with several archers...then 6 muties come and they ally for teh win. The dialogue was so funny. Like two 7years argue and one 11 years tell them in an insight "We must not argue, we must do it together!".

Total - the whole combination of Dialugoes, Storyline, Cinematics and Voice acting brought the SYNERGY effect, making the scene pretty pity. I am sure Nighfall will be a briliant compared to this.

And of course, don't get me wrong, even I flamed so much about those things, I really like Factions. The story thing was a turn down, but all other aspecst of the game (except the faction grind) are good!

Ireally think that yes the voices of some npcs do suck but as to what Arcador said about the story line.... I got the guide and on the inside it tells you the story line there not like in game where its devided up over 5 cut scenes. So yes the in game story line is lacking

Bah, this is not a story based rpg anyway. The players should come up with their own witty dialogue wile playing imo. The more the gamers contribute to the game, the better.

Now stop slapping my monk's saintly pants you pervs!

Post your own lists

P.S. I liked Rurik's voice acting, but he's just stupid, I mean, he got stuck under a tree, and my party and I were just a few hundred feet away from him. We could've saved his ass
You know, I probably could... but I didn't feel like it.

Rurik's voice was alright. The character was annoying, and the script was pretty shoddy, but the voice was okay. I actually like Danika's voice... somewhat. I hated everyone else's though.

Danika looks so elegant and powerful. Then she speaks and you get Lizzy Maguire.
